- Sun-Maid Organic Raisins are an all-natural healthy snack, specifically developed in partnership with Walmart’s drive toward more environmentally friendly products. But what does “natural” mean to the Walmart customer, who may not be entirely ready for canvas tote bags and kraft paper boxes. Our solution was to create a sense of earthiness with a simulated natural paper background and an old-fashioned wood-cut illustration of row crops to set the tone. The architecture is pulled from earlier Sun-Maid packaging, reintroducing their “fruit stand” sensibility, and embedding the brand’s bold equities into this new natural framework – the perfect partnership between character and substance.
- For the first time in almost 40 years, Sun-Maid initiated a redesign of their packaging. Our respectful changes focused on introducing modern stand-up bags, appetite appeal and a flavor system that allows all items to be seen as a cohesive line. Where previously only the raisins were in a red box, we now leverage that color equity across the full line. By uniting raisins, dried fruit and specialty mixes, Sun-Maid has become not only the #1 raisin in America, but now the #1 dried fruit company in the world.
